Public access to the observatory is through a variety of programming.
The tour program operates on Thursday and Friday nights in the summer, Friday nights in the spring and Wednesday and Friday nights in the Fall. Register on Eventbrite.
Field trips are available in the day and evening.
Group tours for clubs, scouts and others can focus on your interests (Current astronomy, history of astronomy, history of Pittsburgh, telescopes ect.)
Children's programming includes Moon Days, Planet Parties, the Haunted Space Mansion and Brashear's Birthday.
